DESCRIPTION FOR PERCOCET PAIN MEDICATION
Treats moderate to severe pain. Percocet contains
Oxycodone and Acetaminophen.
Oxycodone which
is related to codeine is in a class of
prescription drugs called narcotic analgesics.
Oxycodone ( generic percocet ) is
used for relieving pain and its
calming effect. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of
oxycodone. Together, acetaminophen and
oxycodone ( percocet ) are used for
pain management to relieve moderate-to-severe pain.
Percocet tablets (oxycodone with acetaminophen) are
often prescribed for post-operative pain control.
Percocet pain pills may also be
prescribed for other purposes, speak
with your doctor or pharmacist for
more information.

HOW TO USE AND STORE PERCOCET
Your doctor will tell you how much percocet pain medication to take and how often. Take this pain medication exactly as
prescribed by your doctor. The usual percocet dose is 1 tablet every 6 hours as needed but doses vary among
individuals. Doctors sometimes prescribe a higher dose if necessary. Follow the directions on your percocet prescription label and ask your pharmacist or doctor about
anything you do not understand. Do not take more percocet than the doctor prescribed, if the pain is not being sufficiently treated then speak with your doctor. Do not share percocet pain
medication with anyone else and be sure to keep these strong painkillers and all other medications out of the reach of children. You should not use percocet pain
pills if you have ever had an allergic reaction or if you are sensitive to acetaminophen,
percocet, or oxycodone. Store percocet at room temperature, away from heat and moisture.
Percocet Tablets/Capsules:
Percocet pain medication may be taken with food
or milk to lessen stomach upset.
Take each percocet dosage with a
full glass of water.
Taking percocet pain pills may cause
constipation. Drink plenty of
fluids or water (six to eight full glasses a day) to lessen
the constipation side effect. Increasing the amount of fiber in your diet can also help to
releive constipation.
If you miss a percocet dose:
Take the missed percocet dose as soon as possible.
Skip the missed dose of percocet if it is almost time for your next
dose. You should not use two percocet doses at the same
time, do not take a double dose of
this medicine.
If you overdose on percocet:
Seek emergency medical attention. Symptoms of
a Percocet overdose include slow breathing, seizures, dizziness, weakness, loss of consciousness, coma, confusion, tiredness, cold and clammy skin, small pupils, nausea, vomiting, and sweating.

products while taking percocet painkillers.
Make sure your doctor knows if you are taking any other
medications that could make you drowsy such as sedatives, cold and allergy medicine, sleeping pills,
